Piloting
Transforming Media Workflows: The MOSAIC Pilots
To build a truly user-centric platform, MOSAIC was put to the test by real-world media professionals. We used a standardized, data-driven framework to validate every feature:
- Usability (SUS):Benchmarking interface simplicity and ease of use via the industry-standard System Usability Scale.
- Satisfaction (NPS): Measuring the Net Promoter Score to evaluate real-world professional adoption.
- Qualitative Insights: Hosting structured focus groups with media experts to uncover deep workflow impacts and functional gaps.
3 Core Use Cases, 3 Operational Breakthroughs
Our pilots tackled the biggest challenges in modern broadcasting across three fundamental scenarios:
1. Global Content Distribution
Expanding Reach through AI — We tested AI-driven, multilingual adaptation—including automated subtitling and dubbing—to help regional media effortlessly reach international audiences.
2. Intelligent Access & Search
Breaking Language Barriers — We validated multimodal, cross-node search capabilities, enabling journalists and content creators to instantly find relevant media assets across diverse archives and languages.
3. Smart Adaptation & Enrichment
Breathing New Life into Archives — We deployed automated metadata generation, tagging, and transcription tools to dramatically simplify the processing of legacy archives and raw media assets.
The Path to Real-World Readiness
Transitioning from a development environment to live media production required a precise and tested operational path:
- Solid Infrastructure: We conducted tailored, one-to-one technical assessments for every node environment (servers, connections, and storage) to guarantee absolute stability.
- Barrier-Free Feedback: To capture authentic insights, all questionnaires and evaluation tools were translated into the participants’ native languages.
- Centralized Insights: Data was processed using thematic analysis, allowing us to pinpoint patterns and operational benefits across different production environments.
The Verdict: Shaping the Future of European Media
The pilots conclusively proved that a centralized AI hub turns repetitive tasks, like transcription and metadata enrichment, into automated, effortless workflows.
Beyond saving time, MOSAIC emerged as a powerful engine for cross-border collaboration and legacy content management. Ultimately, the project establishes a scalable foundation for a deeply integrated, multilingual European media ecosystem, effectively bridging the gap between traditional broadcasting and the AI-driven future.
