In the MOSAIC project, Fincons acts as both Project Coordinator and System Integrator, facilitating collaboration among partners and ensuring smooth technical integration across the platform.
As coordinator, Fincons assumes overall responsibility for the quality and coherence of all work packages and deliverables, including those managed by other consortium members. Beyond administrative duties, it plays a key role as a strategic and tactical facilitator, orchestrating not only the technical development but also the broader decision-making processes that shape the project’s direction.
As an expert system integrator, Fincons leads the design and implementation of a modular web-based platform. At its core lies a headless backend that serves as a middleware layer, bridging the gap between third-party AI tools and the user-facing React-based frontend, which is also developed by Fincons.
The backend orchestrates several key architectural components:
- A storage layer and a persistence layer, shared with technology partners;
- An authorization layer based on a federated Keycloak system, enabling secure and consistent access control;
- An API gateway that connects the frontend with the backend, and the backend with AI tools developed by specialized technology partners, such as Pangeanic and Infalia. These include speech-to-text, text-to-speech, automatic subtitling, dubbing, automatic tagging, summarization, and translation. Fincons ensures their secure and scalable integration through standardized APIs and robust authentication mechanisms;
- A user-friendly web interface for seamless access to the platform’s features, including advanced search capabilities and results filtering.
Fincons is also responsible for the technical validation of the platform components, verifying their performance, stability, and compliance with architectural requirements. The piloting and user validation phases will be carried out by consortium partners, who will test the platform in real-world media contexts.
Each broadcaster will receive a dedicated MOSAIC node, a standalone instance of the platform, deployed with its own configuration and interface. Nodes can optionally share content with one another, provided assets are explicitly flagged as shareable.
Through this infrastructure, MOSAIC lays the foundation for interoperable, AI-enhanced media workflows, enabling content producers to manage, enrich, and distribute their assets with improved efficiency, compliance, and technical agility.
